Mark Kempa is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., which owns Norwegian Cruise Line, the only major cruise line not comprehensively reporting on its global cage-free progress to spare hens from unnecessary confinement.
Most importantly, as the Executive VP and CFO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., Mark Kempa has the power—and ethical responsibility—to let the public and its guests know where ALL of its eggs come from.
In
2016, Norwegian Cruise Line publicly pledged to put an end to the
horrific abuse of hens in its supply chain by releasing a
global cage-free commitment . But after 9 years, guests are still being kept in the dark as
Norwegian continues to hide where a substantial amount of its eggs
come from.
Norwegian Cruise Line is now at the center of a global campaign that
is gaining attention and support worldwide.
Hens
trapped in filthy cages are so cramped that they have no space to
move around or even spread their wings. They’re forced to lay eggs
on the rotting corpses of their cage-mates. Guests are outraged that
Norwegian, despite its status as a luxury brand, is not taking their
commitment—or animal cruelty—seriously.
All of the world’s leading cruise lines, including
Royal Caribbean Cruises ,
Carnival Cruises, and
Viking Cruises, are reporting comprehensive and meaningful cage-free progress.
It is unacceptable that after 9 years, Norwegian Cruise Line
continues to hide information from its guests and refuses to be
transparent about all of its eggs.
If Mark Kempa truly cares about Norwegian’s guests and doing what’s
right, he will publicly share the company’s current cage-free
progress for all of the eggs in its supply chain.
Click “Take Action” below to tell Mark Kempa that consumers demand
transparency and animals deserve better. Now is the time to
demonstrate true leadership by showing the world that Norwegian
Cruise Line is committed to upholding its promises and ending the
abuse of animals in its global supply chain.
